Dr. Matthew Robinson

Matthew Robinson (GJS) recently attended the annual conference of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Association (NCCJA). There, he presented four papers, three of them co-authored with App State students. The papers were "Capital Punishment, International Law, and Human Rights" (co-authored with Ms. Lauren Moody, freshman, undecided major), "Applying Contextual Anomie and Strain Theory to Recent Acts of Corporate Deviance" (co-authored with Ms. Jessica Rogers, senior, Sociology major), "Incidence and Prevalence of Type 2 Diabetes in America: Is There Culpability in the Food Industry" (co-authored with Ms. Caroline Turner, freshman, Nursing major), and "The North Carolina Criminal Justice Association: Who Are We, Really?" Robinson also chaired the panel titled, "The Death Penalty and Social Justice" and moved into the position of NCCJA President-Elect.
